Canon introduced their LBP-3000 line of monochrome laser printers in the fall of 2008, sub-branded as i-SENSYS in Europe, Laser Shot in Australia/New Zealand and Asia-Pacific, and Satera mainly in Japan. Models include, but are not limited to, the LBP-3050, 3100 and 3150, all with print speeds OEM-rated at 16 pages per minute (ppm).

All models ship with 700 page yield starter cartridges. 1,500 page standard yield replacement cartridges are available, with SKUs varying by geographic market. All toner cartridges require chips for the printers to function correctly.

Note: Only the U23 (starter) and U29 (standard) chips are qualified for the Laser Shot LBP-3018 and LBP-3108 at this time.
